 ACT’s report

On Thursday, a working group of ACT- Accelerator Facilitation Council released a concerning report and thus, the Director- General of WHO made the reflections. The report advised that COVID- 19 is still not over and there's no place for complacency.
Innovated by WHO and mates, ACT- Accelerator is a global collaboration that speeds up the development and product of COVID- 19 tests, treatments, and vaccines so that they can be penetrated fleetly.

The report refocused out that although progress is being made, several countries are yet to meet the targeted vaccination content, testing rates, and access to treatments and PPE. As per the report, only 19 per cent have entered vaccination in low- income countries, whereas, in high- income countries, the number stands at a stunning 75 per cent. Lifesaving COVID- 19 treatments similar as oral antivirals are limited or missing in low and middle- income countries.

The group said that countries must integrate COVID- 19 countermeasures in their primary healthcare systems as part of a longer- term strategy. Centenarian  factors of epidemic response must include diagnostics, rectifiers, and test- to- treat strategies.
